Our team psychologist Laura Thomas recently returned from her B.I.G. North Pole expedition collecting snow and ice samples for climate science. This data will be analysed for evidence of key pollutants such as microplastics and black carbon. Her research into psychological salutogenesis (positive psychological outcomes) on this trip also serves as a test bed for future research at PARSEC on wellbeing in space analogs and eventually in space itself.
